Picture Perfect at La Petite Colombe

Legendary local eaterie La Colombe wowed the Cape Winelands by opening offshoot La Petite Colombe recently.

A few short months after opening in Franschhoek, La Petite Colombe has already awed ardent diners, including the judges of the Gourmet Awards 2017 who nominated it Best Hotel Restaurant on 13 November.

La Petite Colombe replaced The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français, in a new partnership with the owners of stylish luxury group Leeu Collection.

At the helm of the sleek new kitchen stands Head Chef John Norris-Rogers, and everything sent from the pass under his command is picture perfect and a wowsome mouthful.

All photos in this post except my own are by Claire Gunn, supplied by Luxury Brands PR.

My lunch was part of the current weekday promotion, on until the end of November, offering 4 courses for only R395 (excluding drinks and wine).

Here are some photos I took of my own lunch!

La Petite Colombe Treasures

The striking new interior is styled by architect Rohan Young and the Leeu Collection’s interior designer, Beverley Boswell. The interiors will be classic, with a modern-country accent.

Innovative 8 and 12-course tasting menus are a riff on that of the award-winning La Colombe, focusing on the finest local and seasonal produce. The rare and fine wine selection is highly recommended as pairings for your meal.
