And let me just start this off with a wee story about a 21-turning-22-year-old Sabah, surrounded by her girlfriends, singing songs that echoed through the streets of Regent and Main with tequila-tickled joy.
In 2023, I found myself freshly graduated and on the altar of wishing many of my fellow students farewell to their international journeys of working abroad. This led to us seeking an age-appropriate, yet uncomplicated activity that would require very little effort from our side to co-ordinate. Enter Adrian Lazarus’ keen attention to detail and a WhatsApp conversation about Bokeh Karaoke Bar and Lounge – a quick POP for a deposit, followed by a gentle reminder that it is an age-restricted bar so ID’s would be required, then came the evening filled with what can only be described as picture perfect. We sang, we danced, we duetted; tasteful shooters were drank. And many a memory was made!

“We’ve been incredibly lucky to have had such loyal support from our Sea Point community,” says Adrian Lazarus, founder of Bokeh and creative director of Bokeh Creative Studio. “This second venue has been a long time coming. Claremont is creative, social, and constantly evolving, and we’re thrilled to bring Bokeh’s atmosphere to a whole new neighbourhood.” But this time, there’s a twist: daytime dining too!
